The story of Trip To Bountiful is a scanty one. In July, 1991 I was called on a Tuesday to learn the set of an original band that had a gig on Saturday. The drummer was someone I knew from when I worked at Musician's Institute.
We played 4 or 5 gigs around Los Angeles, but these recordings are taken from a cassette from our 3rd rehearsal. The songs are written and sung by a cancer survivor (Jamie Mendlovitz) -- some of the lyrics may make more sense with that in mind.

I just learned that the force behind this music Jamie Mendlovitz lost her battle to cancer
in 1995. For more information on this brave woman, see
