Now Now
Original Rock Band 1990

As I recall, I was introduced to these guys from a Musician's Institute ad. In the (hot) summer of 1990, we rehearsed in an uninsulated garage in the valley. They needed a drummer, also, so I brought in my old friend Jimmy Jones. We were rehearsing for an outdoor party that was to happen in a about month, so we were cramming to learn the material.

Ironically, the one "gig" that we were to perform was cut way short due to neighbor complaints. The recordings presented here are from an early rehearsal, where we are still learning the parts.

That's the Way it Goes ThatsTheWayItGoes.mp3 (3.3MB) ThatsTheWayItGoes.rm (868MB) Although the singer had trouble with pitch (and with playing and singing at the same time!), what attracted me to this band is the songwriting.
Fallouts And Shelters FalloutsAndShelters.mp3 (2.2MB) FalloutsAndShelters.rm (566KB) I called this one "The Celtic song," but made the singer laugh when I pronounced it like "Boston Celtics."
HandOuts HandOuts.mp3 (3.7MB) HandOuts.rm (987KB) Drummer Jim frequently complained that I didn't play loud enough on this one -- I've never been completely comfortable playing a slap style.

Here was the lineup:
Jimmy Jones - Drums
Mike Lascuola - Fretless Bass
[Unknown] - Lead vocal, acoustic guitar
Bob ? - Lead guitar, keyboards
