Once I received the email with the pictures, I felt that the car was a pretty good deal. The first step was to check for car transport prices. The cheapest I found was a National Impala Association member who quoted me $400 for the 630 mile trip from Kansas City to Colorado Springs. The only hitch (no pun intended) was that I'd have to wait one to two months before he could do the trip. It didn't seem like a good idea to pay for a car, but have it sit in Missouri for the first part of winter, so on to plan "B."
I found a used tow dolly for a reasonable cost, so I bought it and made plans to go to Kansas City. On Friday, September 25th at 10:30 AM, Pat, Paul and I headed east. Here's the first of a total of two interesting sights in Kansas; the "Welcome to Kansas" sign!
