Band History
1978 - Present

For years, I've been staring at my huge wall of white boxes, filled with tapes of bands I've been in. Before the popularity of The Internet, I'd always planned to find the best selections and save them on CD.

However, I have this irrational fear that I'll die before I've gone through all of them. So here's my attempt to document and preserve this history.

For as long as it takes, I'll continue to weed through these tapes, and convert the recordings into formats that can reside on this website. Unfortunately, the quality of the recording varies widely. Some of them were mastered using only a cassette deck and two microphones, whereas others were recorded using more modern multi-track facilities.

Married the singer, however.
Colony 11/01/1991 - 12/01/1991 "Bone in Hair/Expensive Snare" - this was the classic
one-gig band. The other guys got so high the night of our
only show, I never spoke to any of them again.

Loose Lips 03/06/1986 - 11/04/1988 The first band I actually had to sing backup in. We were a trio,
and worked frequently in and around Annapolis, MD.
Three-Piece Suit 04/1987 - 12/1987 A three-piece side project to "The Balls."
The Balls 1985 - 1988 The brainchild of Craig Leyh. We played a few parties, spread
out over a few years.
Human Remain 12/20/1982 - 1985 First a 4-piece, then 3-piece Original Rock band, gigging around
Baltimore, MD in the early eighties.
Country Junk 1980 Yes, a full-fledged country band!
Marshall Law 1980 Hard rock was on the AOR radio, so we tried to fit in with the
harder stuff.
Redline 1979-1985 A reformation of Archer, with some new members.
Woodlawn Drive 1979 This was a short-lived attempt with some high school buddies.
Archer 1979 Reformation of the first band, with Jimmy Jones on drums.
Skywriter 1978 The first band! Everybody else in the band was in my
immediate family except for the drummer.
